Retrieving e-mail headers
I'm looking for a way to retrieve the headers & subject from an e-mail account that would work regardless of the e-mail client.
Basically I'm playing around with Spam filters, so I want to be able to read the From line the header and possibly the first few lines of text.
I don't want to use a specific OCX like MSMAPI because it needs to be client independant.
I've seen lot's of ways to SEND mail through winsock, etc., but nothing that allows you to preview and delete.
I would always know the pop and smtp settings, but I'm hoping for a solution that would also work with WEB based mail.
Thanks.
Carp.

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
That is going to be a little bit different because of possibly proprietary mail servers and the such. I do believe many web based email still use standard pop servers you can access (such as Yahoo, etc...) using stardard email programs.
Hope this helps.

That pretty much does the trick.
Any suggestions for WEB based mail?
