undefined function

hi
I'm trying to do a query with left(field,1) function and get "undefined function 'left' in expression" error.

but !!! running the same function in another database, on the same table (linked) brings the results

why ?

hi yossin,

open any module and click menu 'tools' , 'references'
see if any says missing.
If so, un-check it
u might have to close the mdb, and reopen afterwards.
