I have never heard of this before. I have two 40gb drives in my box. I had to clean and re-install the OS (and everything else) due to a virus I didn't catch in time. I know the drive is there. Prior to the re-install I saw it listed as "unformatted"??? But now that I have installed WinXP - The drive dissapeard and no longer shows up on any screen I can pull up???? I also saw it during the installation as a choice to install to...DOES ANYBODY HAVE A CLUE AS TO HOW TO GET THIS DRIVE DETECTED AND FORMATTED???

Thanmks,

Is this drive missing from just 'My Computer' or also from Hardware Manager and Logical Disk Manager?  In Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and then Computer Management.  About halfway down the window that opens, select 'Disk Management' under the 'Storage' header.  See if the drive is listed there.  If it is, right click the enpty space and select 'create partition'.
