I am looking for examples (sources) and tutorials on how to create a new java look and feel.

I have to create a new look and feel and don't know where to start.

If you know any links, etc. please let me know.

I know how to change the look and feel in an application, what I am looking for is help on writing my own look and feel.

Things like, where do I have to register my knew UI classes. Which are the main classes that have to be written for a look and feel, etc.

An article on Swing Connection -- Creating a Custom Look and Feel:
    http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/sce/index.html

SLAF (Simple Look And Feel) is a 'reskinnable' look and feel that might provide some guidance. Source is included as well as a number of 'skins'. It may even be adaptable enough to your need that you could simply write a skin instead of a custom look and feel.
