Want a program that caches DVD to hard drive

I am looking for a program that can cache a DVD movie on to the hard drive so that I can play the movie with a second battery in my hot swap bay.

Anybody know of one?

You shouldn't actually need to rip the DVD to do this. You should just be able to copy the files to your hard drive and play them....

Anyway, FlaskMPEG is a good ripper for Windows.

OK but once it is on the hard drive how would you play it?
Copy the VIDEO_TS folder fromt the DVD to your hard drive and then specify that drive as your DVD drive to a software DVD player, e.g. WinDVD....

From there you can play as normal...
You can also copy an individual .VOB file to your hard-disk and play with Windows Media Player if you have an MPEG-2 codec installed....
