Thanks for your reply.

I was not sure what you were actully looking for. That is why I waited before jumping in to this Q and wanting to see what other responses there were. Then it took a while to write it.

I think that given your directions:  from a point on the ellipse that there were unlimited solutions to this problem as this ellipse may be drawn in any direction and still be contained within the rectangle. True: my ellipse solution is nested with the usual position BUT, and this is my guess, I can see in my mind the rectangle being in unlimited positions AND the point specified being attached to all those ellipses drawn within rectangles, in any number of countless positions.

Nice problem and I truly thank you again for your reply. I enjoyed the challenge.
