Any suggestions on designing a Calendar capable of allowing the user to select the month? The calendar will fill a screen and contain the days of the month. Each cell must have events associated with it. Events such as click, mouse location, etc. will be utilized.

Have you tried using Calendar web control. Other than mouse location, it canhandle click events on different day cells, or entire month etc.

check calendar samples using asp3.0
.NET is reverse compatible with asp3.0 so you can simply past code in the source..
