Access Denied!!

Hello,

I have just installed Win 2k server and I am having problems accessing different folders.  Some folders will allow access and other won't.  I have one particular folder that our office shares and I do have sharing set up for "everyone" at this time to see we can work from there but I still can't access these folders and subdirectories.  Could the subdirectories be the issue?

Thanks

What are the security settings of the folders?  You do know there is share level security and folder level security.  Generally, I keep share level security set for "Everyone - Full Control" while setting the folders to what I really want (a given user or group access, everyone else, not listed and therefor no access).

this is a really easy to solve problem. just right-click on the parent directory, than go to Security and on the bottom of the window choose: "allow inheritable permissions from parent..." and add your user or choose the Everyone group to give access to any user who uses the computer.

I have personally already posted step by step instructions as to the creation of a mirror. Whilst you have proposed an answer you have also locked the question so that no other experts may comment. Please post comments and if the user sees that it will fix their problems then they can accept it as an answer.
