Cannot figure out how a vb code will download on a file on web-server.

Are you trying to say vb to upload and asp to download?

Do you have knowledge of any pre-installed components on your web-server?

Depending on how liberal your isp is, there could be one.

I am sorry, i just thought, i might be able to help. But doesn't seem to be that easy.

From my tiny knowledge of http and web, you will probably have to write a vb exe to intercept the http request and then write the file to file system. Haven't got the clue how to do it.

There is a free component that allows you to manage files via FTP from within ASP, do you want it?

This can be done somewhat easily using VB Script in an ASP page.  If that will help let me know and I can post some code.

How ever it carnt be a script - normally a form would post to a perl cgi that transfers teh fiel from teh local machine ( path givern in teh form) to a upload area on the server i just need the same but with a VB exe instead of the cgi ???
