I have an occasional problem with my Internet Explorer 6. It will hang will I'm surfing the web and about 3 or 4 seconds later windows will re-boot.  Anyone have an idea what I might check to correct this problem?

Thanks!

Many possibilities, it may be heat related.  Open the case and ensure your fans are working properly.  May also be a bad memory chip.  Try this also, go to add/remove programs.  Do a repair of Internet Explorer.  Also, remove all your temorary internet files.

Just some food for thought.,

Glenn,

I appreciate the quick response.  I do remove the temporary files almost daily.  If heat was a problem it would happen with other apps as well and happen every day.  It happens once or twice a week but only in IE.  I went ahead and ran a repair on IE which I didn't think about at first.  I'll have to just wait and see if that does it.

Thanks!
