We use shared mail and in recent research I have read that it is wise to replace the shared mail database regularily. &nbsp;<br />

On our server I could see two shared mail db's, mailobj.nsf and mailobj1.nsf, each database was 3gb &lt;I know..yikes&gt;. &nbsp;<br />

So time to clean up. &nbsp;First of all I did an object collect on the shared mail db. &nbsp;Then after restarting the server 'tell router use mailobjjuly.nsf'.<br />

All is well with that. &nbsp;Now when I look the mailobj db is 39 gb, the mailobj1 is still 3gb. &nbsp;<br />

So here I go with my question.....what is the difference, if any, between the mailobj and mailobj1 databases? &nbsp;Any ideas? &nbsp;I can find no documentation or previous questions on this one....<br />

Lotus Software produced the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program, and later developed Lotus Notes, a groupware and email system. Following its acquisition by IBM, the Notes and Domino client/server collaborative platform were expanded to include functions such as email, calendars, to-do lists, contacts management, teamrooms, discussion forums, file sharing, microblogging, instant messaging, blogs, and user directories. IBM also release SmartSuite, a comprehensive office suite, and followed that with Symphony, unrelated to the Lotus suite of the same name.
