Deploying app on AIX

i am deploying my apps which have been developed on an NT platform, on an AIX platform.I have created ntfs for all apps and placed in the Lotus/notes/data directory of AIX .Now for one app it is giving me a problem like when i am creating an nsf based on the template,it's giving me an error -"you are not authorized to perform this operation".
Now in the server console it is showing me db created
and then db deleted.
I am logged in as manager while creating the nsf.
The ntf has been generated by just copying the design.

Any inputs....

Look for the UNIX user/group/other bits for this templates and ensure that server is the file owner.

Good luck,

The concerned user has been given Manager permission on db.
Actually what should I check

You should check UNIX file owner user id and file permit bits.

I have been successful in making the nsf. There was some data which had got corrupted in my nsf db from which I had created the ntf.I had to remove the view to be bale to create the nsf.But the NOtes log of the fresh nsf keeps giving me an error-"Document corrupted after signed(data)"
This I have not yet been able to remove.
I had tested earlier by signing some documents but the ntf was created without any docs still the error persists.

Hello sampa,

this error with "corrupted after signed" I have never seen and therefore I can not give you a hint,
but first question is: how have you moved this ntf's to AIX; by Notes means with DB.NewCopy menu option or by OS means with FileTransfer?

OH, that it is!!!

delete them all again :)

Normally you can trust that Notes databases are bit compatible on all platforms. Even on mine which is S/390.

But transferring with ftp is dangerous (even in binary image mode) and this binary compatibility is only 99,99999 percent :)

So let the AIX build the databases when you make a new database copy trough Notes client. I am pretty sure this resolves your present trouble and all doubts coming in the future with similar problems. Believe me.

I had to create a fresh copy of the application and delete all the docs .Then created an ntf and made a local copy of it on the AIX machine and then created a db using the local template to get the db complete without errors.
