How do I delete mail from Outlook

I have Outlook Express mail but deleting and also deleting from the "deleted items" folder doesnot seem to make the files in my OUTLOOK-folder smaller. It seems as if these files can only grow and cannot become smaller.

Does anyone have a clue?

You need to click on File on the menu, then Folders, then click on "Compact All Folders" to reclaim space taken by deleted messages.

Hope this helps!
