This doesnt relate to PHP. Anyways you can do something like,

<embed src="yourmidifile.mid" width=32 height=32 autostart=true>

This will play the specified file and it will start playing automatically.

If u want MIDI to be played as background use following inbetween HEAD tags.

<head>
<BGSOUND SRC=" MIDI-filename.mid" loop="infinite">
</head>
