What is the standard way to update client side ActiveX DLL via Internet, by connecting to the central server and downloading it from there?
Is it posible to be done via http, WEB Service etc (using port 80)?
Thank you.

It depends how you call this ActiveX control. If you call it from server side HTML generated then you can use different version number and IE can download newest version.
Best way, IMHO, is to develop Autoupdate tool which ask server about possible update, download and replace needed files.
