Hello people,
Can anyone please suggest a decent graduation project to do in databases. I have been trying abt Knowlege management...but it seems a bit far fetched since not too many resources are available for that.
Plz.... I am in need of help, moreso because I dont want to just build up a dumb simple application.
Thanx

Talk to database designers/programmers in local companies, contracting companies or government departments - they may have ideas for projects you could work on, plus they might even be willing to give you the requirements for their project.

The department I work for here in Western Australia regularly gives jobs to final year students at university - especially for prototypes and proofs-of-concept. Plus, we sometimes get new recruits this way.

I agree with Jeff..good points there..
That's what normally we do for graduation projects.
Engage with few companies. Study a bit on the business.
For me, I rather check on companies that are running Import/Export/International businesses because they have a lot of applications running here and there.

So, you can pick one of their legacy applications and re-build (for improvement/enhancement).
You might have a chance to sell back your idea to them if you're doing excellent work...

Based on my experience:
1. Inventory process flow.
2. Fixed Asset
3. Ticketing module
4. Scheduling system

Good Luck!
