hi, thank you for helping me :))

every time i try to copy to my 3 1/2" floppy drive i get a blue screen error message. the screen is entirely blue and says: "Disk Write Error. Data May Be Lost" Press any key to continue"

But...it always continues with the copying, despite the message. And no data appears to be lost. When I go to "My Computer" and click on the floppy drive the data is all there.

This problem only occurs with my floppy drive--not my hard drive or ZIP or my R/W CD.

What could this be??

Thank you again :))  Marylyn

"When I go to "My Computer" and click on the floppy drive the data is all there."

The file names are listed in My Computer, but that doesn't mean the data is properly arranged inside the files.  Please check the actual contents by opening the files.  This error indicates there was some problem with the data, not the name listing.  Please make sure nothing is on floppy disk that is not also saved on the hard drive.

magarity--my problem turned out to be faulty media. i've never had that issue before (meaning: so many faulty media--one right after the other). i'm sorry that my question led you astray--it did for me, yoo :))
