Simple example of how to handle a session variable

 Hello there. I would really appreciate if somebody could provide me with a simple example (few lines of code) of how to handle a session variable in perl. I would like to set this variable in a page and read it from another without the need to pass it as a cookie or as a hidden variable. Something similar to Java's Session object (for those familiar with Java). Also any information with regards to downloading and installing any modules.

Session maintanence can be done
1. Hidden Fields In Forms
2. URL Rewriting
URL Rewriting is giving the parameters in Action of the form itself as filename?parameter=document.form.element.value
3. Cookie - explained in the above url
