Simple example of how to handle a session variable

Hello there. I would really appreciate if somebody could provide me with a simple example (few lines of code) of how to handle a session variable in perl. I would like to set this variable in a page and read it from another without the need to pass it as a cookie or as a hidden variable. Something similar to Java's Session object (for those familiar with Java). Also any information with regards to downloading and installing any modules.

250 points for the beginning and a class A answer for a helpful example.

  Kind regards.

Please see the following url
http://perl.apache.org/guide/modules.html#Apache_Session_Maintain_sessi

Session maintanence can be done
1. Hidden Fields In Forms
2. URL Rewriting
URL Rewriting is giving the parameters in Action of the form itself as filename?parameter=document.form.element.value
3. Cookie - explained in the above url

Hope this helps .
