I just installed sql server 2000 and am trying to get the following statement to execute from query analyzer.  However I get the Incorrect syntax near 'XML'.
    SELECT 1 as Tag
           ,0 as Parent
           ,Null as [user!1!user]
    FOR XML EXPLICIT
