Recovering a Lost Password
• If the password for the router configuration is lost then the
following procedure can be used to set it to “friend”.
1) Power cycle the router
2) Hold down the “s” key during startup. (The router will startup with the
current release but no configuration
3) Edit the configuration file and remove the line (Ctrl Y):
set user=manager pass=3af00c6cad11f7ab5db4467b66ce503eff priv=manager
4) Save the router configuration
5) “restart reboot”
