Problems loading flash

I have a problem loading some of my flash movies...

Basically, it seems like what's happening (and happens more frequently on the larger sized movies) is that the movie is being loaded but it's not playing. It seems like it doesn't even get to the first frame (all i get is a blank white screen and the first frame has stuff on it)
if i right click and do 'forward' or 'play' it then plays.

I'm using generator (actually jgenerator) so maybe this has something to do with it?

In addition, i tried to work around it by doing myMovie.play() in the onload event in the body tag of my html page (myMovie being the name of the flash movie object) and it works only if i allow scripting of activex controls not marked as safe.

The other weird thing is, is that this doesn't happen all the time.

a workaround or fix would be greatly appreciated!!!

How are you loading your swf file with or without preloder?
Are you loading variables at the start from external envi. to this movie?

Can you send me first scene or starting scene of your movie? I think the problem is in movie at starting part.

My email is rotdir@hotmail.com I will not share any part of your movie with anyone else.

ok, using myMovie.play() does work... i had my security settings to not allow activex controls marked as safe.

Still looking for a real fix (ie. making the movie automatically play itself as it usually does)

Send the URL of your flash site to see if there is something wrong.

sorry, i can't, i'd have to give out a username and password and unfortunately, i do not want to post them...

i'll leave this open for a little to see if someone has ran into this problem before... otherwise i'll just use the myMovie.play() from javascript... the only drawback is that they won't see the preloader.

Well, I don't know... try upgrading your browser
Cleaning everything on your temp files (Manually)
Set a lower label of your browser security
Re-install the flash player (Now Flash 6 player)

Format and Upgrade your OS! LOL... :O)
Buy another PC

I went to this problem before. See you need to reinstall flash player inside your browser. Which browser you are using?

If IE do following steps

tools->internet options-> select blank page as home page then delete files(internet temp files) and cookies. After that goto  settings -> view objects uninstall(right click and remove) all activex controls started with 'shockwave'.

Then goto www.macromedia.com and install flash player and check

Best luck

the thing is, is that this doesn't happen on only my computer... it happens on several (and they aren't all my computers).

that won't help... it never even gets to my first scene...
for a test, i just put simple text on the first frame to see if it would show that... it doesn't.

i'm thinking it might have something to do w/ jgenerator
