Is it possible to write an email application in VB similiar to Outlook, but of course scaled down? If so are there any open source apps already out there that I can customize to meet my needs?

I need to be able to both retrieve and send email and hopefully even scan it on the server with an option to delete instead of retrieveing.

www.freevbcode.com

Also, search the PAQ's at EE and I'm sure you will find what you are looking for.

I downloaded several VBPs from these sites and started evaluating some of them, until I got swamped with work. Once I get a chance to look at them again, it appears I can take parts from several to create what I am wanting.
