What application does the apple web team use to broadcast Apple eNews in HTML format?

I have been using Document Express for my member mail outs, but DE lacks the ability to generate an alternative plain text email for those who don't accept email in HTML format. DE does not support this function's use.

I am also interested in finding a php or perl script that can accomplish this as well- per client's query.

Thanks,

If you have access to a Windows 2000 server, you can generate the multi-part emails using Persits ASPEmail (http://www.aspemail.com/). ASPEmail is free for use indefinitely, but has certain "premium" features which expire after 30 days unless you pay a $99 registration fee. One of those premium features is encoding multi-part emails, which display HTML-formatted emails to clients that understand them, and plain-text emails to all others.

MaxBulk Mailer works for me on a desktop mac, and I found a few scripts that handle this at hotscripts.com.
