MPEG-4 v1 and v2 were Microsofts attempts at MPEG-4. Neither of which are standard, or especially good. As far as i know the only easily available ISO MPEG-4 encoder comes with QuickTime Pro 6. The decoder is included with QuickTime Player 6. Sorenson 3 is also included with QT Pro not to mention 50 some odd other codecs.

Thanks
I have Quick time 5, but could never get very good results with the codecs they have. Will try QT 6. Do you know of any way to get codecs for mpeg 4 that will work in MGI Video Wave?

The codecs included with QT 5 and 6 are standard codecs. Theyre the same for every app that uses them. If MGI VW has the ability to recognize QT and its associated codecs, mpeg-4 should show up.
