Changing values on a report using RDC

Hi! It's me again,

I have a report created using Data Definition Files, I'm populating it using disconnected record sets in the RDC.
Everything works fine, but I want to change certain values in database fields on the report (e.g. Dividing a currency by 1000).  Is there a way of doing this?

I'm using Crystal 8.5 and VB6.

Cheers,
Doc.

Use a formula field in Crystal.  For example, if you have a field named {table1.field1} and you want to divide the value stored here by 100 before displaying it on the report, create a new formula field named newField1

The formula you would type in the formula editor is:

{table1.field1} / 100

Place the formula field in your report, not the original data field.

Hi Drryan,
I thought of that, but I wanted a way which meant I didn't have to change all of my reports.
I think I'll be able to do it by modifing the recordset before I do Database.SetDataSource on my report.
Cheers,
Doc.
