If I use WIn2K Terminal Services to work on a remote computer - is there any way that I can paste text from my local computer to the remote?  Or copy from the remote and past to local?

Yes you can - but it has to be allowed on both the server and the client.

First, the admin may have disabled it.  If you ARE the admin, check the following....
On the server, goto 'Administrative Tools' 'Terminal Server Configuration', and right-click/Properties on 'RDP-Tcp'. Select the 'Client Settings' tab, and ensure that 'Clipboard Mapping' is NOT selected (the check boxes DISABLE the functionality).

If you clear the chack-box, and reconnect, you will be able to use the clipboard thru your sessions, for simple text and graphics...

I don't see a Terminal Server Configuration option.  I see Terminal Server Administration, Terminal Services Licensing and Terminal Service Manager.  Manager?

Found it on the server (tho not on my client.)  In any case I can do what I want regarding pasting into the term serv window.  Great.  Thanks.

I'm glad it solved the problem for you. I did specify on the server in the details.

Many thanks,

Michael.
