Suppose I have a grayscale input image lena.pgm. I want to extract the image date of my input image viz. lena.pgm to a single dimension array of bytes (excluding the header portion) and do some manipulation in the array and write the resultant array to a new pgm file. How I can do that easily using JAI?

Subhasis.
