Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

ok - now I know what you're after - although on my XP machine, alerts are raised through different icons.

The network messages come through the network 'tray icon', and other alerts come through a 'warning' icon (the yellow triangle)

Unfortunately, I don't know how to pass messages to the yellow triangle - but I'm sure we can find a way... !

I'll go have a look !

Took a stroll through MSDN, and could only find ballon controls wrt Office XP

They must exist at OS level, so I'll keep looking, but if anyone else has some ideas...
