I recently installed Mandrake 8.2. It has drivers for almost all of my hardware except my sound card. I have a Riptide modem/Rockwell sound combo card. Mandrake install the modem part find but not the sound. I'm having a very difficult time trying to find a driver for it. So if anyone can help me out about finding a driver would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to see if this codec is included with your kernel?

Sound: Rockwell Riptide combo card

Dear vable,
Try downloading the alsa drivers from
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/alsa-driver-0.5.12a.tar.bz2
then revert back.
Thanks,
Satej
