Open “My Computer” window by pressing “F11”  or any other Key. I use Windows 98.

If you put a timer on the form and set it's interval to say, 80, then this will check for when you press the F11, or whatever button.

Private Declare Function GetAsyncKeyState Lib "user32" (ByVal vKey As Long) As Integer

Private Sub Timer1_Timer()
    If GetAsyncKeyState(vbKeyF11) = -32767 Then
        'Run My Computer
    End If
End Sub

To run My Computer you can use.

Shell "Explorer /n,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}", vbNormalFocus

You could use something like this to create a hotkey to launch My Computer

The link I posted for the hotkey will respond even if your app does not have the focus.

you could try changing the timer routine to this:

Private Sub Timer1_Timer()
   If GetAsyncKeyState(vbKeyF11) = -32767 Then
    ' run my computer
   End If
   If GetAsyncKeyState(vbKeyF10) = -32767 Then
       SendKeys "%{F4}", True
   End If
End Sub
