HWP stands for Hangul Word Processing, the most popular word processor in Korea.  I don't know if MS Word will open it.  I did, however, find a viewer here:

According to the sender, he has translated into English.hwp & Korean.hwp (two version).  Your viewer can only open the Korean.hwp while English.hwp still cannot be seen (remark: I only understand English).  Do you get any other viewer that can recognize it.  Thanks!

At least you has partially fix my problem.  Maybe, the file he claims to convert to English is done by his own processor so I cannot read.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
