This must be pretty easy but i can't figure it out.

i'm using version 7 crystal reports

I want to identify what month in the year i am in from CurrentDate.

I want to use it as the same function for DayOfWeek but for Month of Year.

Use month(x) to return a month number from 1 - 12 where x is a date value.

Use monthname(y) to return the full month name from a month number from 1-12.

Use monthname(y,true) to return a three letter abbreviation of the month name (ie APR for April) where y is a month number from 1-12.

Today these will return:
month(currentdate) -> 7
monthname(month(currentdate)) -> July
monthname(month(currentdate),true) -> Jul
