I have an DLL application to lauch a dialog box. I have certain push buttons where
the owner draw property is set to true. Each of the button is loaded using
AutoLoad() funtion. Each button has the bitmaps of the following states namely
"D","F","U","X".

When I launch the dialog box i get an error message of the follwoing sort.

Error Message
-----------------------------
Debug assertion failed

File : winbtn.cpp

Line :117

For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the virtual C++ documentation on asserts.
-----------------------------

The error message is not happenning always. Say for example when i launch the
dialog box for more than 50 times or so the error appears once.

When the error appears i see the first push button missing from the dialog.
So i commented the AutoLoad() of the particular button. Then also the error message appeared but this time the next button in the sequence didn't appear
on the screen.

What is the reason for this error message ?

The DLL application is built using MFC in a shared DLL in vc++ 5.0.
