You DO need kind of client to connect to Oracle, because it is the client that contains the right ODBC driver. It can come from Microsoft (they do have a free Oracle driver for download) and it can come from O themselves, either the lightweight or the full SQL*Net package - again free once you have licensed Oracle DB. This has in itself nothing to do with Metaframe, as far as I am aware of...<br />

I have a W2K Adv. server installed with SP2. &nbsp;I want to install MF XP SR2 without having to install an oracle client to connect to my Oracle Data Store. I tried installing the latest MDAC and use the MS ODBC control panel to add a data source to my Oracle DB, but it is not listed in the setup screen (&quot;join existing farm&quot;) during MF XP installation.<br />
