I have a table with a number of columns in it. For example the table is called CUSTOMER, it has the COLUMNS NAME, ADDRESS and BIRTHDATE. BIRTHDATE is of type DATE, so when I select * from the CUSTOMER table the date comes out in the format DD-MONTH-YY, i.e. 06-AUG-02.

I want to select * from this table but view the date in YYYYMMDDHH24MISS format. I can do this by selecting each column from the table. Is there a way I can select * from the table and change the date to this YYYYMMDDHH24MISS format?? Or even if I can default it to that format for each ORACLE session I create??
