I need to disable the disk caching on XP.
How to do it?
ASKER
i have already try this, but it dont work!
how to test:
1.- Open notepad and write anything.
2.- Save the file and close notepad.
3.- Switch off the power (without shutdown).
4.- Restart the PC.
5.- The file dont exists...
But if after the step 2 you open a cmd command and press enter, you are writing the cache and then, the file exists after the restart.
Deselecting this option, nothing changes... and the file dont exist...
Thanks in any way

It worked for me. As a matter of fact after I saved the file it was already on the disk before I had a chance to close Notepad.

¿? grrr, with win98 its works... what can i do?
Well win98 is FAT16 or FAT32 so it appears to be something unique to NTFS. Not sure why NTFS doesn't cooperate but the files systems are vastly different from one another.
