I'm looking for a simple tutorial on how to do something like this. I'd like for the Win 98 user to be able to work with files on the NT 4 server via a DSL connection.<br />

The end-user is not using any sort of router, however, there is a SOHO router on the server side that does not inherently support VPN. <br />
<br />
Any suggestions, links, etc? I'd like as much detail as possible as I am giving this project to the new person so that they may become familiar with it! Thanks!<br />

Win 98 to NT 4 Server via VPN.. How do you do this?

A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or travelling users access to a central organizational network securely. VPNs encapsulate data transfers using secure cryptographic methods and other security mechanisms to ensure that only authorized users can access the network and that the data cannot be intercepted.
