Saving with anonymous access ?
Okay, we've got a few MS load-balanced (WLBS) servers running IIS5 that have some routine where users are allowed to upload their Excel documents. We want that location to be on a server outside the load-balanced group.
What sort of rights do I have to give to a shared folder on a folder to allow anonymous web users to save files (and view files) to? Since the user account that logs the users into the file server is the local IWAM account, how do I get that user permissions on another server?
Thanks!
Chris.

Do you mean a group on the domain or locally? I don't think you can move the local IWAM users to a domain group, can you?
And if it's a local group, you can't give permissions on a share to another remote server's local group ...

I'm pretty sure there's a way to add an entry into the fileserver for a user account that is local to another host.
And no, this is NOT a domain entry. We're talking local accounts.
Unfortunately my office is NT based, so I cant test it. I did this at another place and don't have any means to verify the details.

I think you treat the host name of the server as a domain name. So domain = SRVR1, user=IWAM, etc.
