Here's a tough one (I think).

Today I was fiddling around with the services on my 2000 pro system in order to get a quicker boot. This fiddling did not do the boot-time much good but installing new drivers for my sound-card did. I managed to cut the boot-time by half but now IE 6.0 has started to act very strangely. Whenever i type something in a field on a web-site (ie search-field in Google) and hit enter IE locks up completely, absolutely nothing happens. As long as I don't use the keyboard everything works fine. I restored all the service setting and reinstalled IE, did a SFC /scannow and Windows replaced some files but the problem is still there. I've also checked for conflicts, none. This is one of the strangest problems I've had on a computer and believe me, I've had a few, don't know how to fix this so I would appreciate all comments.
