I would like to install a 3rd party software onto the PocketPC Emulator. The reason is that I would like to test some software to make sure that they can do what I would like them to do. If they can, then I would buy both a PocketPC and the software.
So. I did quite a bit of research and trying out, most of them failed. But what I found is that the emulator can communicate via TCP/IP with my firewall server (using PocketIE)
Could I somehow "direct" the Pocket application installer to install the software via TCP/IP. Could this be done somewhere in the registry of my desktop PC or the Virtual Pocket PC?
Or could ActiveSync 3.5 be hacked to find a TCP/IP connection to the mobile device, thus finding the virtual one?

Thanks, Kkralo
