Have to reset monitor settings after each reboot

I have a computer with a ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X graphics card and a Fujitsu 717 monitor..

Everything worked well until I installed Win XP on the machine.

When I start my machine I the screen is a mess and I have to adjust the monitor settings (manually setting the knobs on the monitor) to fit the desktop with the screen (Setting Trapeziod, parallell, h-sIZE, v-size etc). After setting this properly all is well, but every time I restart my computer I have to do the same thing all over again. It's like the monitor doesn't remember my settings..

I have tried with all the different resolutions and colour depth available, but no difference. I haven't found anything explaining this on the web either..

I don't even know if this is a monitor problem or a graphic card problem...

The drivers for both the card and the monitor are the ones on the XP CD and apparently there are no newer ones on the net. Both ATI & Fujitsu say on their homepage that the XP supplied driver should be used..

Anyone knows the answer??
