I need some expert consulting advice on this. I am not getting paid and feel I have a pretty firm grasp on the highpoints of this proposal. I just want to get someones opinion on how good a soluiton this is. I must have centralized managementand future VoIP capabilities.
Company layout-There is a two bldg HQ campus, I propose a fast ethernet LAN in each bldg with a gigabit ethernet connection between the two, with a second set of fiber lines for redundancy (distance). The HQ will connect to an ISP via a trunck line for VPN and internet, along with the needed frame relay connections ( a 256k & 128k line). Also The RAS service and ISA proxy will be used. All PDC and Bdc will run at HQ.
There are many branch offices that will need access to the AS/400 system @ HQ. This will be provided by a Host Integration sever at the HQ. They will also have a 100mbs LAN via 16 port hub and 4 port router to a frame relay network @ 9.6k for connectivity. There will be a redundant dailup option via VPN using a modem bank.
Moblie users will connect with VPN into a ISP then into the HQ to eliminate the need for alot of expensive dial-in port devices. Are ther eany ways around the ISP aspect?
Warehouses will use a T-1 line into HQ and also use the Host Integration server. A 4 port router and 2 16 port hub scenario will cover the 100mbs LAN here. The equipment for the T-1 and frame relay connection to all LANs should be included by the provider (correct)? I am unsure about the implemenation time and cost on the frame relay connections. No vendor cooperation
I dont want anyone to do this for me just help with any mistakes I may have made.
