I have setup our first Windows XP client PC on our Novell network and am having an issue with mapping a drive to one of our few NT servers.
The client PC and NT server are on different segments of the network so an lmhosts file is setup to solve that problem.  Through a DOS prompt I'm able to ping the NT server by both host name and by IP but when I map a drive I'm only able to map it by IP address.
Is is a weird thing with DNS?
I'd appriciate any help... thanks in advance.
