Need Image software for Mac's

I have just begun a job in an IT Department that deals with Mac's. Currently we have 3 Labs. These labs are for students.

I was wondering if there was any kind of Image software for Mac's. I heard that there is Image software for Mac's.

I have been unable to find anyone who uses this type of software.

I would like to create a basline Image, so I can get the computers up and running quickly without any downtime.

These are student Mac labs.

Can anyone please suggest some Ideas for Imaging, if there is such a thing.

In the Lynda.com labs we used to use RevRDist which, when run, makes the Macs the client app is run on look JUST like an image folder on a server. Very handy and very configurable with a little know-how.

It's available at http://www.purdue.edu/revrdist/

Thanks for the Info.

I will persue Revrdist in the next couple days. I have read the outline for installing and implementing it.

Do you have any pointers to make, or is it all cut and dry?

I will try to get this project going in the next few days.
