Repeating MouseMove event in subform

Strange one, this.  I have a section of code on the MouseMove event of an invisible button in a continuous subform.  In one case, the subform itself is considerably wider than the container that holds it in the master form, so Access adds a scroll bar to enable you to see the whole subform.  However, where this is the case, the MouseMove event on my button triggers continually while I am over the button, whether I am moving the mouse or not.

The strange bit is that if I make the container wide enough for the subform to fit without having to have a horizontal scroll bar, the button acts properly and the MouseMove event is only triggered when the mouse actually moves.

Has anybody seen this before, and is there an easy solution...?  The subform is a lot wider than the screen, so making the container wide enough for it to fit is not an option...
