Hi Guys:

Im just running a W2K (P200) to deal with some ASP/Database stuff I am running atm and I wanted to deal with a few secuirty issues...

Now Im only running the stuff I need which is basically IIS for Web/FTP and AnalogX PortBlocker. Now that little baby blocks any port I want, IE 25, 21. I run my FTP on another port for this very reason, because Im getting clowns trying to detect an ftp on that common port.

Now while this works, I wanted to find out if anyone around here knew of something I could you as a replacement (for better secuirty) and something which will let me both view connections and the ports/programs etc etc and perform stuff like Whois and tracing etc...

Thats question 1. 2: Im running an FTP as I said - And have only a few Usernames for a select few people to use, but how can I restrict what dirs they have access too... ???

I dont really know my stuff on the whole policy stuff etc etc so I wanted to know if it would be a case of using another FTP Server piece of software... ??

Thanks in advance, Hollstar
