Though not strictly related to computer hardware peripherals, I need help and don't know where else to post my question. My Hitachi DVD player (model DV-P323U) connected to my Sony rear video projector TV (model KP-43T70) exhibits the following behavior with some but not all DVDs, and with the DVDs with which it does exhibit this behavior, it happens only occasionally during the playing of the DVD: After playing normally for some time (sometimes ten minutes, sometimes as long as an hour; it seems random), all of a sudden the audio will go slightly out of sync with the video. If I stop the play, then start it again, the audio catches up with the video and they are in sync again. The DVD player has exhibited this behavior since new (two months) and, as I said, with only some DVDs -- usually older ones, but it will occasionally do it with a newer one too. It has never happened with a rented DVD, only with a DVD taken out from my local library (and therefore presumably played a lot). Is this a problem with my DVD player or with the DVDs themselves?
