troubleshooting Question

OS crash when copying large amount of data.

Hello

I'v got a problem with a old computer that I would like to use as a fileserver. PII 300Mhz, 128MB RAM.

When writing large files to any of my 3 HD the computer crashes. I'v tried win98 and I'm running winXP-pro now.
The same happens when I copy through network, CD or directly on the HD.

The strange thing is that the OS crashes when a lare file is finished copying. Yes, it always finish the copying.
If I copy two large files only one finish copying before crash. (large = >150MB)
If I copy a large amount of data the same thing happens when the amount of data has reached a large amount.
Copying files smaller than 100MB is no problem.

I'v tried replacing the SDRAM with no result.

Do any one know what happens when a file finish copying that can cause this problem. As I said I tried win98 and winXP with the same problem.
