How does one write variable rocords and or blocks on an Exabyte 8mm tape drive on a PC under MS NT4.0 using VC++6.0.  I cannot set the parity so that a VMS system won't flag me with a parity error.  Writing an identical file on a SUN Unix box with the same Exabyte drive does not produce a parity error.
