how do i make a webpage where people have to have a username and password not to view the webpage but to get access to other parts of the website. using html or if there is another way.

hello,
you willneed a server side program to manage your users and to log in and out.
it can also be done with javascript but this method is very insecure.
which server side language does your host support?
